Lutjanus russellii, Russell's snapper, Moses snapper, fingermark bream, Moses seaperch or Russell's sea-perch, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a snapper belonging to the family Lutjanidae. It is native to the western Pacific Ocean.

Easily confused with

Side by side, with what tells them apart.

Both are pale pinkish snappers with a single black spot below the soft dorsal fin. Russell's Snapper's spot sits mostly above the lateral line and can be faint; its dorsal fin and tail are reddish, and its young are white with four dark stripes along the sides. One-spot Snapper has yellowish fins, and its spot, round in the young, shrinks into a horizontal dash as it grows; it keeps close to caves, coral heads and wrecks.
